Tibet was a sovereign nation, with its own language, culture, and customs, distinct from its neighbors. In this section of Xizang Zhiye, we will explore various aspects of Tibet, including Tibet's amazing geography, which is one of the main factors which has allowed Tibet to develop largely independently from its neighbors. Tibet also has a rich and beautiful culture with thousands of years of history. The customs and culture of the Tibetan people are recognized as an important example of one of the last remaining authentic cultures in the world. We will also consider Tibet's impressive historical legacy which provides the necessary context for any modern considerations of Tibet.
China Moves In and Tensions Rise:
In 1951, Mao's gaze turned west. He decided to "liberate" Tibet from the Dalai Lama's rule and bring it into the People's Republic of China. The PLA crushed Tibet's tiny armed forces in a matter of weeks; Beijing then imposed the Seventeen Point Agreement, which Tibetan officials were forced to sign (but later renounced).
WE CAN NEVER OBTAIN PEACE IN THE OUTER WORLD UNTIL WE MAKE PEACE WITH OURSELVES
This is my simple religion. There is no need for temples; no need for complicated philosophy. Our own brain, our own heart is our temple; the philosophy is kindness.
Today, more than ever before, life must be characterized by a sense of Universal responsibility, not only nation to nation and human to human, but also human to other forms of life.
We can live without religion and meditation, but we cannot survive without human affection.
We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.
Where ignorance is our master, there is no possibility of real peace.
Whether one believes in a religion or not, and whether one believes in rebirth or not, there isn't anyone who doesn't appreciate kindness and compassion.
With realization of one's own potential and self-confidence in one's ability, one can build a better world. Its Unique ..! Click here to see Pictures..
The purpose of our lives is to be happy.
It is necessary to help others, not only in our prayers, but in our daily lives. If we find we cannot help others, the least we can do is to desist from harming them.
It is very important to generate a good attitude, a good heart, as much as possible. From this, happiness in both the short term and the long term for both yourself and others will come.
Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.
My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.
Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend - or a meaningful day.

“YOU ARE BUT A PRODUCT OF THOUGHTS”
“You are nothing but a product of thoughts” as your thinking should be powerful and purposeful. The quality of your life depends on the way you think, because all actions originate from thinking. When you think you are happy with yourself, you are happy. If your mind is in optimistic way, you would achieve the impossible can see the visible. You should look at your problems from different angles, actually lessens the mental burdens, every events has many aspects and naturally one event can be seen or viewed from many different angels. It is very rare or almost impossible that an event can be negative from all the points of views. Therefore it is useful when something happens to try to look at from different angles or directions and then you can see the positive or benefits aspects. You are nothing but what you think in your daily life. Normally we used to be very rush and in nervous track when something happens to us, whether it is good or bad, this leads to increase stress and tensions in our mind and body, resulting dissatisfaction and unsuccessful. So always try to be calm and act with relaxing your mind, as “slow and steady wins the race”! Be calm and passionate with your goal and keep walking towards it with a positive mind. “Fly, If you can’t fly, try to run. If you can’t run, walk. Still if you can’t walk, then crawl”. Whatever you do, keep on going towards your goal with optimistic mind. Look from the brighter side rather than struggling with pessimistic minded.

When the food ran out, clothes torn, we were scared, but we ... had to go on whether we died or not.And the elements aren't their only. says one of my fan who fled Tibet to India..
The Journey To Phayul(Tibet)
Everest may be the tallest peak in the world, but it's a lumpy, visually unappealing mountain, not technically challenging, and crowded with people lured by its fame as much as anything else. Still, I was keen on seeing Everest—from a distance.
In search of an appropriate vantage point from which to view Mt. Everest.
.China doesn't allow individuals to travel in Tibet—officially known as the Tibet Autonomous Region. Visitors must join group tours, carefully limiting their time in the region. Mine had about 25 people, mostly backpackers in their early 20s. very few of them are tibetan from Indai and Nepal.
For several hours our bus followed the bubbling Bhote Kosi (literally River from Tibet) north toward the border. At the border we crossed the Friendship Bridge into Tibet—China's idea of friendship apparently requiring you to leave one bus, then hike uphill for half an hour to another. Not to mention confiscating your guidebook. China bans Lonely Planet guides because of a map representing Tibet as a separate country.I FOUND VERY REASONS ABOUT ALL THE BELOW THOUGHTS…!
All major religious traditions carry basically the same message, that is love, compassion and forgiveness the important thing is they should be part of our daily lives.
Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.
Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.
I find hope in the darkest of days, and focus in the brightest. I do not judge the universe.
If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them.
If you have a particular faith or religion, that is good. But you can survive without it.
If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.
In the practice of tolerance, one's enemy is the best teacher.
